Sawyer canoe transportation
I have a Sawyer canoe sitting around, currently on Kaz's property, that is to come south to Richmond, Va. Anyone able to grab the boat and either store it or transport it southward to someone who can store it until I am able to drive north. Please note, this canoe is 18' 6" long. Name your favorite ...

Re: Slalom boat outfitting.
To better secure the loose blue bulkhead from moving, weldwood 2"x2" triangles of minicell foam on each side of the bulkhead on top and bottom.

Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. They keep scanning for signals and will suck the battery quickly. It is amazing how much longer the battery lasts when they are turned off. And make sure your daughter has not switched your wallpapers to live ones.

Re: C1 Maverick - any tips?
My first slalom boat was a Maverick I bought off of Bill Hearn. The hard-to-turn comments refer to it's design to "carve" through turns to carry speed (especially upstream gates) rather than sink and pivot the stern. Because of its carving design, it can be slower where you want to nail a stern pivo...

Hmmm. That looks like Norwood Scott's Whip-It. Do you know if it is? The one time I paddled it, it was set up for playboating and it was a lot of fun.

Re: impulsive purchase: whitesell pirahna & paddling with k
You just can't compare the Whitesell boats to any other whitewater boats (aside from the Scamp, since it is basically a precursor of the Piranha). The Piranha is a can-do boat. Nolan opened up many runs with it and ran some stuff with the boat that were not repeated (think, Niagara Gorge). Tim Ed Sp...

Listen, people. Leave the towing to the kyackers. This is why we keep them around and they think it is fun anyway.
