Dagger Caption saddles placement????

Good day all, I'm in the process of re outfitting our Dagger Caption wood gunnels, and I was wondering if some one could give me some measurements. I would like to know what is the distance from the bow to the front of the back of the bow pedestal, and to the same place of the stern pedestal. And if...

Re: Gunnel repair

Shape it in a long banana shape, make a piece of wood that will match at the matting surfaces, epoxy, clamps, and when dry shape to the same profile as the rest of the gunnel, oil and go paddle!!

Re: Officially converting to C-1

Look at these guys....http://www.riverelf.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, millbrook boats make a few c1 specific boats also. but I think that the RiverElf boat is more new school than what Kaz offer, I might be wrong though. I would go with a real c1 design to be a c1....

Re: River Elf Storm Chaser C-1

Chris, that is great to hear. you don't have to convince me on composite boats, I have 3 of them. I should get my Shacho from Millbrook in a week or so.... A friend of mine as a Viper 12 in Kevlar duraflex that is 15 or so years old and still going strong!! Like I said , good luck! Maybe you'll have...

Cool, Looking great, I don't know much about C1(non conversion) but that look real good!! What is the layup? Any OC1 in the work??

Re: Which drysuit?

Go GTX, the others are not worth the money, and the fabric not as strong! The Kokatat GTX will last a long time if cared for.
And for a nominal price Kokatat will refurbish it!!

Re: Which drysuit?

Hey Peter, these suit will work, but you will get water in by the neck, unless you have a big neck and even then you will get some. The neck of these suits are not a latex gasket, but a neoprene one with a flimsy closure system. So if you don't mind having cold water coming in your suit.... They wil...

Re: The Drysuit Evolved - SwimLeft

maybe one other thing that would be great, that I would use, is to some sort of waist belt/suspenders for the pant to be worn on there own, as an instructor, I have to wade in the water so help student in some situations, and on easier water, or really warm days(up here, even the warmest day, the wa...

Re: Substitutes for vinyl glue

I use VinylTech 2000 for anchor points, and contact cement for foam parts... The beauty about Vinyl Tech 2000, is that you can use a heat gun to heat the patch up and pull the patch away.

I like that stuff the best so far!!

Good luck

Re: The Drysuit Evolved - SwimLeft

Look like a good idea... As long as they are as good as Kokatat in terms of dryness, and made in the USA, with as great a warranty as Kokatat, you will do great!! But if the dryness is marginal like other drysuit, made over seas, that will be a waist in my opinion.... Good luck, it does look like a ...
