Rare Whitesell Whirlwind in mint condition

... have repaired them and they hold air perfectly. The front air bag is large and comes up to the bulkhead. Since getting the boat I have paddled it twice, once on a class IV creek and once on a class III river. It performed beautifully on both, just as a remembered from the Whirlwinds I owned in ...

A bad break

... Pretty reasonable. This recent break has me more concerned. I would estimate the original owner took it out 20 times at the maximum. I paddled it twice. Dividing $1500 by 22, you get $68 a day. Not so hot. Of course, the break could have just been a fluke. It could have happened to any boat. It ...

... but there should always been some reason behind that decision. I don't think the deciding factor should be based on time. i.e. once a year, twice a season, biannually, and so on.

... in videos of some of the better paddlers. Here are a couple things to consider regarding switching hands. Paddling on both sides means you have twice as many stokes to master. The boat is always most stable when the blade is actively engaged in the water and switching sides maximizes the amount ...

Re: AC/DC review

Work on my old Wide Ride is excellent. And my Edsel is fine except where Connolly's mold was leaky. If your boats were pristine, they would cost twice as much. GITTEERDONE! Most boat buyers have a funny attitude, wanting a polished hull like on a Liquid Logic and then taking it out and banging ...

Saturday, completely missed, Sunday, completely missed twice including failed low braces just before falling in. Saturday morning I fitted a bulkhead to hold my knees down, at some point Sunday afternoon ...

... point that retention of that sharper "S" bow may not be feasible when scaling up the design to float 2 paddlers. Sometimes the need for floating twice as much weight in a boat that isn't twice the size of the singles version demands the retention of more volume closer to the ends as is the case ...

... up a Ceemweaver as well. What has stopped me so far is two-fold: 1) I'm doing less Cquirting these days 2) It's fun to say that my design has twice as many as Jimi's (two Mentors, one Ceemweaver) There is definitely room for improvement; I had another thought last night that may be ...

Re: WTB triple position foam saddle

Mohawk was, twice, kind enough to sell me a "stripped" triple saddle for a very reasonable price. Call 'em up and ask. Why mess with a used saddle?

If you go for something "hot", you'll end up with a Blazing Saddle.

Re: Canoe for the Grand Canyon

... Genesis years ago that would make an excellent Grand Canyon boat, very much like the Nexus. I also have a Dagger Rival that's been down the Grand twice by a previous owner, on raft-supported trips. I'd take that boat, too, though it's a bit shorter. What you want is a good Class III river tripper. ...
