WTB Mad River Outrage hulls in decent shape
Only interested in 1990s or earlier with large Mad River logo and bunny, not the newer POS boats manufactured by Confluence Kayak Corp.

Wanted: a lightweight, waterproof pump battery
My L'Edge came outfitted with a lead acid battery which was heavy but immune to water ....the leads were just attached to the poles with no waterproofing and it worked fine. Unfortunately that battery is now on the bottom of the Rocky Broad. A guy I know had a really light battery for a laptop runni...

Gluing ABS to PE?
A friend of mine wants to know if he can repair his L'Edge (crack under seat about six inches long) with GFlex or an ABS patch. I told him he should just get it welded. He wants to know if anyone has welded a L'Edge and then put a piece of black ABS plastic over the area to protect it from re-cracki...

EZwater thanks for the ideas. Mailbox tower inspires idea for a sort of canoe grave "Stonehenge" in the backyard...Not sure neighbors or wife would appreciate its historical, artistic and archeological value however.

Should I store my SL'Edge with ash gunnels inside in winter?
It is a "SL'edge because it is an original model heavier than a sledgehammer. Winters are not too bad here but it can get down in the low teens or even single digits on occasion. I can make a cozy spot in the basement for it but wanted opinions from Yankee boaters as to if this is necessary.

How do you dispose of old trashed Royalex hulls
I have a POS 2007 Outrage hull that cracked after 15 paddles, and Confluence Kayak Corp refused to do anything to honor the so-called warranty. I repaired it and kept padding it till it was beyond hope. It has been hanging in my basement and used for equipment storage for a couple of years but I wou...
