... with volume added to bow). Davey Hearn's Dynamic or a Super Dynamic may be worthwhile and also add that Zealot to the list of boats to try. The Loco is one of the largest newer slalom c-1's. Good luck, have fun, and keep us up-to-date.

Re: Playing in Slalom Boats in Charlotte

Excellent video.

Re: Which slalom boat??
I'm 6-0, 210 and am at the top of the range for my Loco, but that design (or the more recent Robin Bell design Scorcho) would work out ok for you IMHO. I've been way overweight for boat designs many times over my simple citizen racer career and it's ...

Re: It's a sickness...
The pictures don't show the true width. The bow is not that narrow (almost identical to the Loco), and the stern is fairly wide. The bow shape is much flatter than most newer boats too. I'm 160 lbs. (+ sometimes) and the previous boat (from which this was derived) was ...

Re: Checking in after long absence...
... I hope to see you soon, like at our armada if you can get to it. John and Joshua (Krikkit) gave the best big slalom boat answers. I've paddled the Loco (Great Gonzo's boat) and found that it carried great hull speed (in spite of being shorter) in addition to being a pivoting machine. If you get ...

Re: Checking in after long absence...
... has given you some good tips. I'm just a tad lighter than you (varying from 205-215 lbs.) and have managed to squeeze myself into a used Galasport Loco, Robin Bell's first design before he went on to design the IMO and El Scorcho.
