Helium
It highlights its light weight- Helium (chemical) is very stable- since the USA produces 90% of the helium in the world, it earns its 'made in USA' tag and it fits within the boats Millbrook has made in the past starting with H. Hooter, Howler, Hornet etc..

Re: Pumps
Pea Pod- you used a 500 gph pump instead of the 'standard' 1200 gph pump. That explains your slow pump time. To accurately time the pump you need to be in the boat as your lower body displaces water. When I turn my pump on it only takes about 30 seconds until I can tell a huge difference in how the ...

Re: Hand Roll
Think about it as body position (body 90deg from boat, facing bottom of river/pool, arms extended) and ALL hipsnap. This helps take away the bad habit of trying to push down on the hands. Then, at the end of the hipsnap concentrate on trying to put your offside hand in the water on the opposite side...

Re: Spark airbag size
I have 60" in mine, with an Esquif bulkhead installed, and it filled it up completely. So much so that I had to deflate them a bit at Nationals in Colorado to keep things fair.

Re: Seat height and rolling --
The higher you are, the less wide your knees can be and therefor the less leverage you can apply to the onside knee. With a higher saddle I think its harder to get the outfitting to hook high enough on the thigh to keep the butt from rising off the saddle. Thats just my humble opinion based on my pl...

Re: Bobbing
Of course Smurfs unpaid comment on my roll was worth it too. Sometimes all it takes is someone looking at a little problem from a slightly different perspective. It was great boating with you again this year Einar, hope to see you in Sept. To my knowledge, there are only two ACA certified ww canoe ...

Re: Light L'edge v/s L'edge (responsiveness)
Big difference between the boats in how it responds. The standard L'Edge took a bit to change directions, and get it going but from there they are the same. With that in mind, if you are changing directions a bunch and paddling aggressively you'll notice it big time. When attaining, the ability to g...

Taper shaft and secure with waterproof glue with a large cross pin (wooden dowel) has worked well for me.
