Re: need help ID-ing this New Wave C1

Yeah, he only wants $150. I picked up what's maybe a Bat of some kind a few weeks ago and would like to get a Viper. There's one in Richmond I might take for two bills. It's not a lot of money for someone who has a job :( but I am not one of those people at the moment. Lots of time, not a lot of cap...

Re: need help ID-ing this New Wave C1

My first thought was Fanatic or F2 - The chine would be a dead giveaway, but can't see that From that angle, it is very hard to tell, but the bow seems narrow for a Bat (Super or Extra) They are a lot of fun - these days, I would clip the bow spike and shorten the stern a bit - especially if you get...

Re: need help ID-ing this New Wave C1

Definitely one of the Bat/Fanatic series - looks like a very flat deck which leads me to say Superbat as opposed to Extrabat or Fanatic. More pics or some measurements are needed.

Re: need help ID-ing this New Wave C1

Dude can't find the build sheet, but if anyone is interested it's outside Philadelphia. https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/boa/d/trenton-13-new-wave-kayak/7204078576.html Looks like it's got bags, which is like half the value of the boat. Also saddle looks pristine, and very little wear on the ...

Re: need help ID-ing this New Wave C1

... there should be a build sheet glassed in (usually by the right knee, sometimes on the side, sometimes under the pad in my experience with New Wave boats). It is a slalom boat; I'd guess Fanatic II, but could be a Fanatic or Stealth; hopefully someone who paddled all of them and has seen them ...

it's my birthday

Someone sell me a New Wave Viper C-1

Do it quick, I'm so happy right now, the feeling might wear off.

(Seriously, I've got the disease.)

Re: C1 & C2 Boating

... again or I'm going to go crazy. I was running everything in a Viper 11 but left that behind. I've got an Esquif l'Edge Lite and a 1988 New Wave Descender that I haven't gotten wet yet. Getting the last few things buttoned up with gear and outfitting. I'll have stories to tell soon, but ...

Harmony Terrapin C-1 sprayskirt for sale or swap (SOLD)

I have a sweet, almost perfect Terrapin sprayskirt and it seems just a little too big for my New Wave Descender. The rand is in incredible shape. I think it probably fits a bigger cockpit like the slightly more recent plastic C-1s like the Atom. Medium tube. I'll let it ...

Re: Under rated boats...

My top two are the Viper and Sith. Neither are under rated. The Sith is my favorite for surfing. I've been asked if it was designed for my local wave. The Viper is fast, surf's well on the river and ocean, plus I can stern squirt it on flatwater. It's my go to boat for big, scary stuff. How many ...

Re: C1 & C2 Boating

Jim, my old viper was a winter port boat. After I cracked it, I picked up a used New Wave Viper. If I remember correctly, it's 10lbs. heavier than the winter port. I talked to Paul S. about building a lighter one. He said no problem. It's a great design, I just don't ...

Re: C1 & C2 Boating

... because it is much more suited to it. The SC will surf just about anything you point it at as long as you can get to it. The atom needs a wave with a bit more velocity or steepness to lock in. The Sith would have been another boat I'd consider but I've only paddled one once, Gonzo's in ...

EUROPEAN CBOAT ARMADA 2020

... Regarding our place to stay, it's in the WW center of the Salza valley, Wildalpen, on the Naturfreunde Campground right next to Heli Welli, the wave where you can pitch your tent right next to it and play until the lights go out. Some "more comfortable" options within walking distance for those ...
