Re: Ion VS "mid-length" modern boats

... and the 1st and 2nd generation Ion. The 2nd generation carries more momentum than the first but either one has much, much less momentum than your Outrage or other boats listed. I preferred the first generation for drops and punching through holes but both do well creeking and in big SE water. ...

Ion VS "mid-length" modern boats

ISO Short, Modern Boat (Blackfly, Esquif, etc)

ISO a used, shorter, modern WW canoe (option, octane, esquif models, etc) to save my composite, 12ft Outrage on low water runs. Hurts my shoulder to paddle heavy boats, so looking for something lighter but can still take a beating (aka short) or a highly maneuverable boat. ...

And now the Bywater's been sold and closed! Possible we crossed paths at some point.

Any interest in the Outrage?

Mark

Re: Mad River Outrage for sale $750

Hey Mark! hope you are well, just sent you an e-mail. I lived in Asheville for a while and paddled a fair bit, I wonder if we ever crossed paths. Sold my H2Pro at Bywater one day....still miss that boat.

Mad River Outrage reduced to $600

Boat is in great shape. Built "96, wood gunnels, teal color. Two owner...always stored inside. Float bags (very slow leakers, not a problem), and Mike Yee triple thigh straps. No foot pegs. Less than the usual wear. Pics available.

In praise of the Blackfly Condor

... not have come close. More about the Condor; up-canyon winds on slack days? Despite the bow being turned up, it holds the line much better than Outrage, Viper 12 or Whitesell Descender. And surfing-- well it is a Jeremy boat, right? YUP! And holding the line but also carving through boulder ...
