Re: Best full-slice conversion

I have a Big EZ. It's very slow, but good on steep waves. I had a Forplay, which was faster and would stay on waves that weren't as steep. The Forplay is as close as you'll get to Sith performance in plastic.

Re: Most notable C1 conversion?

Re: Most notable C1 conversion?

... of creek boats where there is arguably only two options (plastic Finkenmeister, composite Storm Chaser). So, I'll say that to me the Wavesport ForPlay was "ground breaking" in that it's the first conversion I paddled that I felt was better as a C1 than Kayak, and was a very good C1 at that.

Re: WTB: Drakker Wheelboy

It's a nice boat for a spud boat;) Reminds me very much of a converted Forplay - spins easily, very forgiving, and stable. A little less slicey than a Forplay of course. My only complaints are it is rather heavy (but of course I like light glass boats), and ...

Re: Conversion ?? for a Jackson Fun.

... Make it a little too big, so when you shove it in, it won't come out on the interstate. It'll compress some over time too. Take a look at this Forplay that I did: https://cboats.net/c_db/list.php?type=5&alpha=F&boat_id=323&name=Forplay" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Here's another ...

Re: C1 River runner/playboat recommendations?

I have a Big EZ & had a Forplay. The Big EZ is great on a steep wave & stern squirts are effortless. It's V E R Y S L O W as a C-1. I won't run anything harder than the Ocoee in mine & can't make all of the moves that I want to on that ...

Re: C1 River runner/playboat recommendations?

Another thought about the Wave Sport pointy boat family - at your weight, the Score will be very much a surface boat (at 220, I can sink the ends easily). A Forplay would be a good choice - probably pretty predictable. But... a XXX would be a squirt boat! Especially if you squashed the ends...

The WS Score also comes to mind from your description. Same hull has as the ForPlay, but in a bigger size. Pat.

Re: C1 River runner/playboat recommendations?

Look for an old ForPlay - very Sith like actually. But heavier;)

Otherwise, if you can find one, a Wheelboy.
