Re: paddle
Ms. weeMac, I guess you see a can of worms opened here. Thanks, it got kind'a dull after Ain'tLou... nevernind. Remember when mr. Weemac is doing 3/4 (or 2/5) he'll be kneeling, so a shorter paddle; cross draws et al, a shorter paddle, shoulder stress... speed/finesse..shorter.

Favorite ways to size an OC-1 paddle
Well, I haven't yet found anything on this site about sizing paddles. Mitchell gives a very loose method (anyone over 6' is between a 60" and 63"). Proud new owner of a bouncing baby Rival!!
I finally found one! Bought on EBay for $460 - brand new, never seen the water. And it's purple and made of R-lite. Good thing I have a king sized bed so there's room for my hubby too......
Thanks to all of you for all of your help and advice!!
Slante,
Weemac

Taos Box
Hey Tiggy,
How was the ark?
Taos Box is running now: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nm/nwis/uv/?site_no=08276500&PARAmeter_cd=00065,00060
500CFS at Taos Junction, this time of year, is about the minimum flow needed. The most accurate flow for the Box would be the Taos Junction gauging station (link ...

True, true. How much do these fancy light batteries cost? How big are they? What is the voltage? I am imagining a car battery........
You said you had 50% charge left after 5 days. Sounds impressive. So while I'm remaining open minded about technology.... Has anyone tried a roll up solar panel to ...
