Open Canoe Downriver National @ NOC

Didn't see this anywhere, of course that doesn't mean isn't on the web site somewhere, so I thought I'd post a reminder.

Re: 2013 Open Canoe Slalom Nationals & North American Champs

Hey Adam Any place in up state NY that might make a good site for this type of event, maybe Old Forge area, if they can release, I notice the summer release on the Indian are little short, big volume, only couple hours isn't much to work with, unless they reduce the volume and lengthen the release t...

Re: Boat of the Week - Perception Slasher

I heard about the Slasher, saw one on the bank where we were partying, thought it looked pretty good, went over to pick it up and turn it over, it was so heavy decide I never wanted to paddle it, so I haven't.

Re: Boat of the Week - Dagger Caption

First time, jumped in the stern with a weak boater in the bow, the boat was predictable and did what I wanted it to, to my surprise, it was a bit wet when negotiating bigger stuff (class 3ish), total weight was about 270, I didn't set it up and we may have been a bit close to the ends, Second time I...

Re: Poll - potential for new regional canoe event

Count me in, The NY Governor is pushing for more opportunities in northern NY that tourist can enjoy, I'll bet his office could help a club or some other entity get this going. I'll bet the Adirondack Watershed Alliance or Central Adirondack Association, and the NY DEC could all step up to recruit w...

Re: Fiddlehead slalom race

No much of a fan when I'm in big water, don't like bailing, The Millbrook Rayge works great for this, fast, turns, stable, surfs and dry.

Re: Millbrook news

I was in the Rayge, wrong time to take it easy!!!!! Perfect time to show off the Rayge. Oh well, next time. I had a chance to paddle the Millbrook Boats SHACHO in class 2. I really liked it, had excellent cut back ability when surfing, good hull speed, felt stable, and turned well, I'd like to try i...

Alabama Cup Racing Association & sponsoring clubs

Re: Twister or Edge?

I've paddled both a lot. More Twister then Edge, I like them both.
I paddle a Rayge now. It has is benifits and one is comfort in paddleing.
The Rayge, just hop in and paddle, very predictable.
The Twister & Edge have certain style of paddleing for both of them designs.
