Cascade question

Picked up a fairly new cascade but the seat foam is missing . It has the backrest foam that is 3 inches thick . I want to set it up completely stock. Was the seat foam in the original cascades also 3 inches thick? Thanks

Re: T Formex

I agree about the beta testing . Uniroyal spent millions Developing vulcanizing process for royalex for the Military which crossed over to canoe building material. I hope it works for sure. Been a few false starts From esquif lately though. The article is a good read, albeit with a Sarcastic tone.

Re: Esquif

I believe since neither royalex and T-formex exists, there is not much production in any of the
Mfg,s. Maybe in time.

Re: Esquif - not dead after all?

They cannot continue to do business as before otherwise
They will end up financial trouble again. I would expect
Focus only on certain products for a while . Anyways
It's it's all good news !

Re: Pump electronics and L'Edge welding questions

As to welding your ledge a wielded canoe will never be as strong as the original. The crack formed under your seat because that is the worst/ most stressed place it could be unfortunately. It can be welded but don't trust it completely. I would not take it into a steep Canyon that I could not walk o...

Re: So where's the T-formex ?

Hey, I hope t formex is the greatest stuff ever.

I just thought "in production " actually ment
"In production"
Instead of not until all the bugs have been worked
Out. That's all.

Re: So where's the T-formex ?

Bad typing on my part. The quote reads
". Esquif canoes is now producing t-formex as the
EVOLUTION of Royalex. ". Not evaluation .

Ok DougB , I'm over being cranky, but everything I
Said still stands on its own.

Re: So where's the T-formex ?

Esquif did this already in their press release. Impatience? Not at all. Read the first sentence if their press release . ". Esquif is now producing T-formex as an eval...

So where's the T-formex ?

My prediction has been it will hold up for lake or flat water canoes , but unfortunately not for whitewater canoes. But I truly hope I'm wrong. Anyway, That's the word I've heard.
If anyone has better info, please share. Cheers
