Re: airbag lacing

You can also glue webbing loops to the hull:

Well done! Could you tell a bit about the building process? Did you work with stations and foam strips?

Re: Millbrook M.E. Thoughts

The ACDC strikes me as similar to my Hellman Scout...almost no rocker and while likely able to handle whitewater just fine it likely is not very agile at catching eddies and maneuvering down ledges... . I know lots of Canadians like a basic boat like a prospector for whitewater but I am after somet...

Re: AC/DC review

Though my AC/DC does not get paddled enough by far, I would like to add, that the hull seems to be pretty hard wearing: Going down a short descent on a little stream I hit a sharp rock, which liftet the boat almost competely out of the water and pushed it sideways. The sound was horrifiing, but the ...

Re: AC/DC review

My mistake - I am interested in an AC/DC, but even more interested in a *Patriot* - the smaller AC/DC and, per my last e-mail from Kaz, not vacuum bagged (he is planning top put a flange on the mold to make that available). I've been looking for AC/DC impressions thinking that they would to some ex...

Re: AC/DC review

My question about the weight was about the overall weight of the boat, but I didn't make that clear. I see how you had to accommodate the changing width and why your seats are heavier. Interesting solution, though. I'm curious what a vacuum bagged AC/DC will weigh :-) I'm really liking the looks of...

Re: AC/DC review

Gerrit - thanks for the pictures! I'm curious about how the seats are installed. Did you do that or did Kaz install those that way? How heavy is it? You're welcome - glad that someone asks about the seat installation, as I have spent so much time on it  I glued some Aluminium angles to the hul...

Re: AC/DC review

Hi folks, let me introduce me - I am the "he" and the "buy from across the pond" Just want to get some things sorted out: My fussy comments about my boat were regarding some humps of resin, of which most I did already remove with a cutter. The other things are some dodgy looking marks at the s...
