Re: Boat of the Week - Millbrook (and others) ME

I suckered my younger brother into paying for half of a used ME back in the late 80's. That ME successfully guided me for my first time down the Ocoee (upper), the Cossatot (AR), and many others. My brother reclaimed it for a few ten years in between then an now. Sadly, I have lost that ME… to my wi...

Thanks for the pics.

Can you tell me more about your strap set up?

Are you using tubular webbing? What buckle are you using?

Seeking dagger dimension

Seeking dagger dimension in fair to good condition. I am looking for a dagger dimension I can share with a friend. I am in Arkansas, but we will be heading to the Ocoee labor day. I am willing to detour on the way out or back. I am sure we will be at the NOC too one day that weekend. Thanks for your...

Re: WESTFEST 2012

I will be lobbying for our western trip to include these dates.   Of course, a middle fork permit will change my priorities.  I am looking forward to taking on Howard's plunge again.  Unfortunately, I don't think it will be at 3800 cfs like it was the day I got to run it. Of course, I may convince m...

Thanks for the suggestions and advice.

I will add this information to my new to me boat formula.

Hopefully the cash and boats available variables will produce a real solution before the rains come.

To answer a few questions.

First- weight - about 250
Second - I have a very nice tandem boat, so this will be for solo only.

Thanks for all of the responses.

Advice time: Please help a big guy make a good boat choice.

So, grew up learning to canoe in an OCA. Then I convinced my younger brother to help me buy and ME. It was a very nice step up… 20 years ago. Currently, I have access to the ME and I have a Dimension that I paddle tandem on stuff my wife will paddle with me and solo when she will not. Both of these ...
