FS: Dagger Ocoee, tandem, bulkhead saddle

Asheville, NC can deliver to ALF. Red, w/ sparkly silver lettering (for those it matters to) Chines have seen some repair. Double pumps. Yes this is a TANDEM Ocoee. Great for a very light team, or a kid up front. Slams into eddies like it's on rails. Exhilarating and silly. Reverse footpegs to run t...

Dagger phantom oc1 FS

Excellent for a lighter weight paddler, one of the lightest production roylex canoes. Short crossover width. Yellow, good condition. Purchased used, stored inside, never paddled.
Great boat for significant other who dabbles. Asheville, NC can deliver to ALF.

Re: Esquif Prelude (cheap!) ROBSON HOMES (Rare!) Millbrook K

hmm, KAZ? It is a long boat, so by modern standards it floats high and goes super fast. I know that the boat is very narrow (I can measure) It certainly held my drip of weight just fine, and the previous owner was in the 150-180 range, I believe. The Kyote was later made into a wider model (the Hoot...

Re: L'edge L'offside recovery

I can't for the life of me get these photos to post. But, to clarify: this is, I think, *after* a righting pry would help. My speculation is that I'm trying too hard, a result of paddling a prelude. I think if I do less, the boat will right itself underneath me. I think it's going Cross bow to throw...

L'edge L'offside recovery

What are peoples experiences with the extreme secondary stability of the ledge and/ledge light? Coming from a prelude, I'm finding the ledge to be more stable (no big surprise!) However I am struggling with its secondary stability. A friend who borrowed my boat found the same problem. He says once i...

Re: my high tech bicycle

They didn't take me seriously: https://cboats.net/cforum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7967106&hilit=grumman" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; But there are amazing advances in materials science these days, and I could imagine a metal-hybrid material holding some real promise at being light, stif...

Esquif Prelude (cheap!) ROBSON HOMES (Rare!) Millbrook Kyote

Sigh, usually I am a buyer, not a seller. Scroll down for all boats and a link to more pictures. With tears: Esquif Prelude , with or without bulkhead saddle, This hull has seen me down an amazing number of rivers, I think the PE weighs like 30#, its amazing. It needs (sigh) a very large weld job on...

Light L'edge v/s L'edge (responsiveness)

a few ppl have started paddling these beasts, and there are rumors circulating that the new L'edges are better handling and that they lean, carve, and respond better for a lighter paddler. I had written off the ledge for people in the sub 160 category. Is the new boat worth considering? For referenc...

Re: stern-mount camera

I had to dig for this one. Hockey stick again, good camera angles, I think. I also got a lot of great stills with the camera sticking up from the FRONT of the boat. (Ignore the scratched/foggy camera housing.) Running Oceana "direct." Probably a canoe-only line, and I suggest your boat be bow-light....

Re: stern-mount camera

Two words: Hockey stick. Step 1: make a thwart out of a wooden hockey stick. step 2: place leftover stick between the airbag and hull. Film away! I haven't put much together in the way of video from what I've filmed, but here's a simple one from Nantahala falls, tandem. Note the angle. please ignore...

Re: near death Mad River Outrage

Whatever, that thang looks bomber.

Start steep-creeking in it; soft roylex will bounce better.
