Re: gluing vinyl d ring patches to royalex

I have used Stabond to outfit several whitewater boats, some still in service after 30 years (30-40 days per year) & have never experienced even a partial failure. the previous warning is absolutely correct- You do not get a re-do on placement, once you make contact, it's over. Secondly, the MEK is ...

Re: New Air Bags

just another reason why Mohawk isn't REALLY here any more. Too cheap to provide an easy inflator but I'm sure they didn't lower the price of the bags. I once had them refuse to replace a defective 75 cent plastic buckle for a $100 lap belt unless I sent mine to them first. Some companies are just de...

Re: Removing skin from minicell

I use a large bandsaw with a fence to make a consistent cut. Much easier than other methods. If you don't have one, check out a local woodworking shop. for a couple bucks, they will cut it for you.

Re: New Millbrook boat for wife - Flashback vs. Shacho

No contest in my mind.... Shacho. My wife & I have both owned Flashbacks (ABS) & currently own a Shacho (2 seasons, about 60 days on the water). My wife is only slightly larger than yours, at about the same level, paddles OC2 with me & was blown away with how easy the Shacho paddled. It accelerates ...

I've used Blue Mountain Outfitters in Harrisburg for 2 different boats with great results. (717)957-2413.

No bags in it now but I have a nearly new 4-bag set I'd let go for an extra $25.

Need to make room!

I bought 2 new boats last year so now something has to go! This time it's my Dagger Redline C1 conversion. This 8 ft 6 in planning hull is quick, easy to roll & spin. Paddled less than 12 times because I'm now spending all my time in open boats. It is fully outfitted with thigh straps, lap belt, bac...

Re: Quick question on hanging storage for composite boat

Be sure to take the bags out. Mice will nest (& chew) between the bags and hull even when upside down.

Re: adjustable toe blocks from Northwater

I have been using a similar type from Dagger for more then 20 years in 3 different boats, both ABS and Kevlar composite. Very comfortable especially with ankle blocks. I've always used Stabond
& even under constant stress while paddling they have never loosened.

Re: 2013 Outback?

I've had the new style Outback for 2 1/2 years. It's the 6 cyl with 240+ HP. A terrific car with 44,000 miles on original tires & brakes with no service or warranty issues. I get 28-29 mpg highway & 22 around town with no boats. Mileage drops to 24-25 with boats. I previously had 5 Honda or Chrysler...
