WTB: Dagger Crossover or Perception Enduro 12

Folks:
I have a paddling friend over here in Iowa who is looking for a 12' Dagger Crossover or Perception Enduro kayak: should be in very good to excellent shape.

Anybody know of one?
Thanks,

Re: Mad River Howler - paddler positioning

WWC2: Since nobody else has jumped in on this one (possibly because very few on this forum use kneeling thwarts (?),) I thought that I'd give it a try. If your Howler currently has three kneeling thwarts, chances are that the bow and stern thwarts are WAY too far apart to be useful for varying paddl...

Re: CTug

Wendy:

If you are thinking of using the cart fro rough portages, the wheels on the CTug can be dislodged quite easily by rocks and brush (unless you wire the retainers in the closed position (a bit of a hassle...)). Not a positive characteristic.

RobG4-----a bit off-topic, but ----

-----Take a look at the Arkansas Canoe Club Whitewater School.

It's not in Georgia, but it is a well-run set of classes and is closer than Canada.

Re: Wood trim question

Suggestion: If you use wood, choose woods with similar density and porosity. Example: mahogany and oak would not work well, as density and porosity are wildly different, causing major swelling differences with water absorption and temperature change. Ash and maple would work, or ash and oak... Cedar...

Rack space from Philly to Midwest 9/19/2011

Folks:

We'll be driving from the Philly area back to NE Iowa on 9/19 and will have rack space for two small boats or one larger one.

Call or email if you have anything that might use a ride.
