I don't know about y'all -- and I mean no disrespect to the good Mr Smerda who I have never met and who has clearly given us a boat worthy of our attention -- but does starting a totally unrelated thread-within-a-thread about some camera-thingy smell to anyone else like stuffing the ballot box in the pursuit of setting/extending the CBoats record for single longest thread?

So, when will the L'Edge be available for purchase? Late in 2009? Summer 2010? Before Mohawk designs a new boat?

To make a long story short... I'm trying to figure out a logical way to get my L'edge down for Upper Yough on Friday and then to Gauley Fest on the weekend so people can give it a whirl. I might send it along with Roy and then I'd come down the following weekend to paddle the Lower/Upper G. then get a day on the Upper Yough if possible... depending what the doctor tells me.

If you are interested in trying it out or paddling it you can send me a p.m. so I don't get accused of racking up the post count...

As of the moment... we're dialing in the final specs and making a few subtle changes, then the production mold will get made, the oven is getting closer to being ready to start cranking out Spanish Fly's and Preludes at the factory and a safe assumption would be that this boat will be in full production by spring 2010. Much as I'd like it to... this stuff just doesn't happen overnight.

Thank you for holding... please continue to hold...

A-C-T-I-O-N with Jim Coffey from Esprit

Have fun with it down there!

FWIW... We're going to be making a few slight tweaks before going to production... figure on seeing production models right around ALF 2010

Sorry for the delay... but Jacques and I would rather the boat be exactly what you, he and I want the first time.

Watching L'Edge handle those waterfalls , sure whets my appetite. Can hardly wait for the spring appearance of the commercial version.

Update... I just returned from Quebec and we made some slight changes to the design to address a few things we learned from the prototypes.

L'edge (L'version 2.0) is looking fantastico'

I can't wait...

Who named the boat? why not just Edge or Ledge.

be patient... I think the slight delay will be well worth the wait.

I did. I would have called it Le' Edge ("the Edge" in honor of Frankies first boat) but then some dweebs would've called it the "Leedge" when the apostrophe fell off and I'd have never heard the end of it.
