Re: Spring 2019 Armada

... armadas was the year when there were heavy rainstorms that brought the river up higher than normal release levels and we put in in pea soup fog that limited visibility to maybe 100 yards. It was so surreal, sounds seemed muted as well as vision. Have a great weekend all.

Re: paddlers with glasses?

I wear glasses, the same pair I wear for everything. (they have an anti glare & uv coating) I do not use any anti fog product. I use a retainer strap. Never lost a pair of glasses yet. Even without a helmet my glasses stay on. With a helmet they are very secure for rolling or getting ...

Re: paddlers with glasses?

I use rec specs. They fog up bad. Cat crap has not worked for me at all. Rain-x works no better.

... weekends ago). I haven't used Rain-X on them, but do have some Sea-Drops and have thought about using that on them for winter paddling where they fog up really bad after getting wet for the first time.

... off easelier. It might ruin any expensive coatings on your glasses but I don’t have any of that. I have never had a big problem with the glasses fogging up, I just do a roll and the fog is gone.

... was also the first time I've really been in an open boat in a couple of decades (well, other than the WW Derby), and I had a blast. The Millbrook FOG will definitely see some more outings:)

Re: Asking about water proof Cameras

... I've had the WR-90 and now a DSLR and the W80. I'm the least in love with the W80... the battery / SD card cover make me nervous, water spots and fog on the lens are constant issues, and I seem to miss a lot of pictures, though the shutter lag isn't obviously bad. The battery life isn't great ...

Re: Another GoPro question

oh and alden a couple things Buy a 2nd battery now so you don't keep missing the last big drop. Get anti fog strips for something like $15. don't buy a PNY memory card. put the camera in 16x9 60 frames a second @ 720p for starters and work from there. best of luck.

As we are driving, we just keep going higher and higher… Mountain peaks are poking up through the dense fog…this day has a “FullGnarlz” feeling to it already. It seems even more FullGnarlz as all stumbled down a very steep, boulder choked, low running ...

... and the bead slides to the corner. I tested it on an old filter first and today I saw that Craig was using it. I also tried out TR-17, an anti fog coating for masks that I got from a dive shop but it wouldn't dry clear, just to a slight haze. Just wondering if any one else has solved this problem. ...
