Berrigan

Sorry, but the C-2 in the photo is not a Berrigan (the one in the catalog shot is). My parents owned two of them. The one in the photo resembles an old Czech maybe.

A real World changer

... two minutes. Sadly, the Garvii upset on their second run and finished 4th, missing a medal by 3.4 seconds, losing to two East German teams and a Czech team. They beat two other East Germans, all of the West Germans -- everyone else. No other US C-2 had ever done nearly as well. By the time the ...

Funny you mention Illiad.

For guide-sticks I alternate between my Norse and Illiad:)

I can't imagine using either with most of my C1's (though with a Hahn, Sage, or Czech I suppose it would feel "comfortable" )

I'm with Sir Adam. Millbrook is the source, and Kaz has the goods. Considering the history of the person in question, I would recommend either the Czech or the modified Hahn. I have a Wide Ride, but I don't like it as well as I like my Zealot.

Millbrook... Check out Millbrook (one of our sponsors!) - The Wide Ride might be a good option, or if they want to go old school the Modified Czech. You never know...Kaz might have the Berrigan mold still;) I don't know if he has a Hahn mold, but I know PS Composites does (link under Paddling ...

... As you can see, I'm pretty cheap. I either build them myself, or, more recently buy them used. I can't afford a new $2,000+ slalom boat from the Czech Republic.

Mystery solved!

I had a nice chat with John Berry this eveing. He's very sure it is one of his boats, a "MCC1" (Modified Czech C1)...it started out as two bows from different Czechs and evolved from there. He made several 'red' ones, like the one noted, and recognizes the foam seat as well. ...
