Hey I'm just asking ?'s. I would love to have Natioanls in MT again, however the site we used for 04 is now 'off limits' to large groups as apparently the large grass field that was used for parking is actually a Nature Conservancy easement..oops. Other than that unless everyone wants to paddle in D...

Yes reducing classes would not bring in as much money for the organizer but with the price this year I will be laying down around $100 and that doesn't include gas, drive time and not working, so its not like its cheap as it is. If these races were all about money thats just not the idea, or shouldn...

Wavesport X & Prijon Rockit

I have a Wavesport X and Prijon Rockit, both C1 outfitted. Looking to trade or sell. I am actually interested in wavesport Z if there are any out there, doesn't need to be outfitted. Any oter trades would be considered, Make an offer. Could bring to Wausau for OC slalom nats, or deliver in the NW. T...

Well if you like sandy beaches and warm(ish) (I amaweeny) water you won't be disapointed. Really a Class III run, suppose some would say there is some IV. I have run the upper main and they are really not that much different except volume, as its lower on the river. Nice desert canyon with nice fun ...

I also would love to see it out in the PNW as well. As you know Craig and John its a lot of work and its all about getting someone to put in the time and money. If I recall corectly the only reason it wa in MT in 04 is because the person in CA bagged at the last minute. How many folks from the East ...

Yes the gate touches, I agree completely with the 5 seconds. The yearly race we do here we use the 5 second rule, its a nice compromise. What exactly would the premier class be? kind of like the open class? Having fewer classes would be nice, but at the same time it has to be enough for folks to wan...

OC Slalom Nats

Seeing that Craig has made some comments about slalom nats in the downriver thread I wanted to start this one as I have some opinions on that as well. First I agree with Craig on the Length classes, I don't remember what he had said but it was something like less than 10', 10'-13'2" and over 13'2", ...

Just measure from the bow/stern to where YOU want them to end and get that size. OR just put 60" bags in and make it work. More is better, IMO

On a side note of the scooping water factor, well sort, of with my Ocoee, and I think others would agree, if you flip to the offside it sometimes gets stuck on that side without some funny under water strokes or aggressive momentum continuation. Have you played with that at all with this boat? Does ...

If I drive all the way from MT to Wausau at the end of July can I try it? :D Very cool though, nice job. Its great to see different things happening in the C world. You should be very proud, CONGRATS!

So are you refering to bent shaft flatwater type paddles that are really more of a bent blade, or are you refering to a bent shaft ww paddle that is really a true bent shaft . You could assume that a bent shaft would be more efficient as it allows for a longer more efficient stroke-meaning it can re...

I was at a race last weekend and the National Team C1 and C2 paddlers were there. Keep in mind this is Wildwater boat specific. They all kneel, used straight shaft paddles, and did NOT switch sides- they used a lot of boat lean and hip action to turn/correct the boat. as for boat design, I don't kno...
